The Association of Marinas in Denmark (FLID) has developed a standard for ”Certified Safe Marina”, and at ASC we have had a risk assessment prepared with recommendations for improvements.
Unfortunately, statistics show that over half of all drowning accidents in Denmark occur in marinas.
It undoubtedly surprises many how difficult it is to get up out of the water in a boat without a swim ladder - and exactly the same is the case with getting up onto a floating dock.

The club has invested in a number of safety measures so that safety when moving around the harbour can be increased. Most recently, Trygfonden has sponsored rescue ladders which have been installed in various locations around the harbour.
